Rashmi Das has been learning Kathak since 1999, under the guidance of Guru Saveeta Sharma at Upasana the Spirit of Dance. Through her training, she has been exposed to various Indian dance forms, including contemporary dance. Her curiosity in dance led her to participate in inter-university dance competitions and dance in Jannat Performing Arts, while teaching classes at Upasana. She has attended various workshops with renowned artists, such as Vidushi Saswati Sen and Padma Vibushan Pandit Birju Maharaj. She has had many opportunities to perform at prestigious events and venues such as Canada Day on Parliament Hill (2007), Nritya Sunderam (2009), Dance Kapital (2014) and Utkalika (2016). Rashmi is currently pursuing her training at Upasana the Spirit of Dance with Guru Saveeta Sharma while dancing in the company.
